Björn Dalla Santa plays the role of Karl Oskar.

Björn Dalla Santa was born in Stockholm in 1961. His professional stage debut took place in 1987. He appeared in the opera The Markurells of Wadköping which was performed on an outdoor stage in Malmö.

In 1987 Björn Dalla Santa was a member of the chorus at Folkoperan (The Swedish Folk Opera) in Stockholm where he performed several lesser solo roles.

In the summers of the late 80's, Björn played various roles in the Ystad Civic Opera in the south of Sweden.

In 1989 Björn Dalla Santa played Tony (reserve) in the musical West Side Story at the China Theater in Stockholm. In 1989/90 he played Tamino in Mozart's opera The Magic Flute with the Roslag Opera.

In 1990/91 Björn took part in the production of the musical Les Misèrables at Cirkus in Stockholm. He alternated playing the roles of Enjolras (reserve) and Feuilly.

In 1991 he appeared in Folkoperan's production of Samson and Delilah.

>From 1990 to 1993 Björn Dalla Santa won larger roles in productions for the Stockholm Operetta Ensemble. He appeared in The White Horse, Countess Maritza and The Bird Seller.

In 1993 he performed in the musical The Jungle Book at Folkan Theater in Stockholm.

In 1994 Björn joined the chorus at the Gothenburg Opera. He has also sung solo parts at the Gothenburg Opera, amongst them Äppelkriget (The Apple War).

During the spring of 1987 Björn Dalla Santa began playing the lead role of Karl Oskar in Kristina from Duvemåla at the Gothenburg Theater.

A self-taught singer with a background as a ski instructor and troubadour, Björn Della Santa complemented his experience with singing instruction from Torsten Fölinger beginning in 1984.
