Lisa Gustafsson plays Kristina.
Lisa Gustafsson was born in 1969 in Stockholm. Her professional stage debut occurred in 1992. She sang the role of Lucia in Britten's opera, The rape of Lucrece, in a modern production by the Royal Swedish Opera ensemble.
In the fall of 1993 Lisa did practical training for the role of Flora in the Royal Opera's production of A turn of the screw. She also performed that fall in a concert performance of Die Frau ohne Schatten (The woman without a shadow) in the Concert House in Stockholm along with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Niklas Willén. In December 1994 Lisa debuted on the main stage of the Royal Opera in the role of Lolita in Rodion Schedrin's opera, Lolita.
In 1995 Lisa sang the role of Sophie in Richard Strauss' opera Der Rosenkavalier at the Opera College's student production at the Royal Swedish Opera, Stockholm.
In the summer of 1995 Lisa sang the role of Bastienne in the Östgöta Theater's production of Mozart's Bastien and Bastienne.
In September 1995 Lisa sang the soprano part in Carl Orff's Carmina Burana at a concert in the De Geer Hall in Norrköping.
In 1996 she sang the role of Ida in the Stockholm Opera production of Die Fledermaus. In the spring of 1997 Lisa sang the role of Anna Berg in the opera The merry wives of Windsor at the Royal Opera. And subsequently, she also performed that role on tour.
Lisa Gustafsson has performed on television on several occasions, among them in the songfest at Skansen Park in the summer of 1996 and for the 1997 television gala for the children of the world.
In the summer of 1997 Lisa played the part of Amor in the Drottningholm Theater production of Rossi's opera Orfeo.
During the spring of 1998 she appeared in a number of performances called Figures in a landscape composed by Carl Unander Scharin. The series was broadcast on Sweden's national radio P1.
Lisa Gustafsson plays the title role of Kristina in Kristina from Duvemåla at the Cirkus theater in Stockholm.
Education and commendations:
Södra Latin Gymnasium's music line and the Stockholm Institute of Music. Lisa attended the University College of Opera, Stockholm from 1992 to 1996. She received scholarships from the Sigvard and Marianne Bernadotte Artist's Foundation in 1993, and the Royal Swedish Academy of Music in 1994. Lisa was awarded the Gun Wållgren Grant in 1996, the Drottningholm Grant in 1996, and the Sixten Gemzeus foreign study scholarship in 1996.
